MANKATO (TEC News) -- Two adults and a 12-year-old boy face felony charges after an employee of a Mankato business interrupted a burglary Saturday night.

The employee of Sweet Sounds returned to the business around 9 p.m. and spotted three people loading aluminum into their pick up truck.

The employee called Mankato police and officers arrived at the scene and arrested 64-year-old Dianne Lee Brandt, 21-year-old James Russell Brandt, and the 12-year-old juvenile.

The adults were arrested and taken to jail, while the boy was released to a parent.

All three face charges of felony burglary and theft.

The employee estimated the value of the aluminum at $1,200.

Police say the suspects entered a shed on the property but never entered the actual business.
