MANKATO – A combination of informant information and surveillance led the Minnesota River Valley Drug Task Force to take two men into custody in separate, but connected arrests.

The investigation came to a head last Monday, October 24 according to search warrants filed in Blue Earth County Court.

Agents had been trying to find the source of dealers in the area of Deldona Drive who were using the Wendy’s parking lot to sell cocaine.

Agents had been using an informant to buy crack from 21-year-old Tierre Walton all summer, and while watching the neighborhood, spotted him leaving the apartment of 20-year-old Stanley Broussard’s girlfriend.

The informant told agents that Broussard had just gotten out of jail and was back in it.

Walton left the apartment and was arrested during a traffic stop with 1.4 grams of coke.

Broussard was present when the task force raided the apartment and a witness said it was Broussard who gave Walton the crack to sell.

Broussard faces three felony counts of 3rd Degree Drug Sales, while Walton faces a single count.

Bail from Broussard has been set at $100,000 and $30,000 for Walton.
