NICOLLET (TEC News) -- A New Ulm woman was killed Sunday afternoon in a head-on crash east of Nicollet on Highway 99.

71-year-old Irene Schultz died when her westbound Chrysler Concorde crossed the centerline and was hit by an eastbound semi driven by 49-year-old Daryle Hansen of St. Paul.

The accident was reported at 4:38 p.m.

Schultz was dead at the scene, according to a State Patrol accident report.

Hansen was not injured.

Schultz was wearing a seat-belt.
