Parking Lot Bust Leads To Drug Charges

MANKATO (TEC News) -- Drug task force agents were at the right place at the right time when they allegedly drove up on a drug transaction last Wednesday in a Mankato drug store parking lot.

26-year-old April Valliant of Mapleton is facing a charge of 3rd Degree Drug Sale and 5th Degree Drug Possession. 29-year-old Phillip Danberry of Lake Crystal is facing two counts of 5th Degree Drug Possession.

Drug task force agents were trying to arrest a different woman for a drug sale when they spotted a car she was reportably in the evening of September 21st. After spotting the car, agents drove into the store's parking lot and claim to have witnesses a hand-to-hand drug transaction between two women.

The driver of one car, Regina Dallman, was first arrested on a warrant out of Waseca County. Danberry was in the passenger seat of Dallman's car. Police allegedly found a glass pipe with methamphatime in his pocket.

During booking, investigators say they found nine small baggies of meth stuffed inside Valliant's underwear and a small vial with some Vicodin pills in his "diaper."
