Quick Run Through Fast Food Drive Thru Leads To DWI Arrest

MANKATO (TEC News) – A drive-thru employee at Mankato’s Taco Bell helped Mankato police snag an alleged drunk driver late Sunday night.

31-year-old Jeremy Tubbs of North Mankato faces a felony DWI charge as it would be his fourth DWI since October 2003.

The Taco Bell worker called 9-1-1 after Tubbs fumbled through his wallet trying to pay for his food.

Mankato police pulled Tubbs over after watching him drive through a stop light on Highway 22 near the Highway 14 interchange.

According to police, Tubbs denied drinking anything, but after failing a sobriety test, he blew a 0.208.
