Man Without Driver's License Bails Out When Police Try To Pull Him Over

MANKATO (TEC News) – A random license plate check Monday afternoon in Mankato showed the owner of a pickup truck had a suspended license.

As an officer tried to pull the truck over near the intersection of Rock and Second Streets, the driver jumped out of the Ford Ranger and ran on foot.

As the suspect fled, the truck rolled into a parked vehicle.

Turns out the truck had recently been sold to another man as the registered owner heard his name on the scanner and called police to say the driver wasn’t him.

He gave police the name of the new owner who also didn't have a driver's license.

Police were still searching for him as of Tuesday morning.
