Mankato Area Job Growth Streak Continues



MANKATO (TEC News) – For the 12th month in a row, the greater Mankato area is reporting more jobs now than at this time last year.

Greater Mankato Growth says there are 1,853 more jobs in August 2011 than in August 2010.

That’s a 3.7 percent increase.

In addition, the Mankato area had 331 more jobs in August 2011 than July 2011. 164 came from the private sector and 167 came from the public sector.

Greater Mankato Growth says the private sector has accounted for 86 percent of the year over year job gains.
