MANKATO (TEC News) – Murder suspect Jennifer Nibbe will be in court today as her attorney will argue for several motions filed in late August. The rural Lake Crystal woman is facing First Degree murder charges for the August 2010 shotgun slaying of her husband James inside their home.
Nibbe’s attorney is asking a judge to suppress her statements to police because they failed to give her a Miranda warning and later interviewed her without counsel.
They also want the judge to review her husband’s medical records because his autopsy revealed he was positive for HIV and Hepatitis B.
