Grand Jury Hands Down Murder Indictment Against Tillman
MANKATO (TEC News) -- A Blue Earth County grand jury as indicted 21-year-old Damone Christopher Williams-Tillman on 13 felony counts including first-degree premeditated murder.
Williams-Tillman is in custody for the July 8th stabbing death of his ex-girlfriend, 21-year-old Josselyn Bishop. According to investigators,Williams-Tillman admitted to stabbing Bishop once in his car during an argument. Bishop fled the car on North Victory Drive and he gave chase, allegedly stabbing her multiple times while she lay in the median in the middle of the afternoon.
The indictment includes five counts of first-degree murder and eight lesser charges.
Assistant County Attorney Pat McDermott says the indictment came in late Thursday morning.
Williams-Tillman is expected to make an appearance on the indictment early next week. A date for the hearing had not been set by early afternoon.
