MANKATO (TEC News) – An autopsy is being performed on the male found dead by firemen Tuesday evening inside a Highland Hills apartment in Mankato.
 
Fire crews responded to a report of smoke at 241 Balcerzak Drive.

The victim was found dead in a back bedroom.

The name of the victim and a cause of death remain pending.

A cause of the fire also has not been released.

No foul play is suspected.
