Candles Caused Fatal B & B Fire In New Ulm

NEW ULM (TEC News) -- The July 2nd fire that killed six people inside a New Ulm bed and breakfast has been ruled accidental.

The investigation by the New Ulm Fire and Police departments and the Minnesota State Fire Marshall determined the fire was caused by unattended candles left on the north side of the home's front porch.

The fire killed the owner of the Bohemian Bed and Breakfast, her two daughters, and three out-of-state guests. Four people escaped the early morning blaze.
