Cooling Stations Give The Air Conditionless A Place To Beat The Heat

MANKATO – Monday’s excessive heat and humidity prompted the American Red Cross to open a “cooling station” at their headquarters in Mankato.

Bob Meyer says their Homestead Road location will be open to cool down again today from 8am until 9pm

The St. Peter Community Center will also have a cooling station with ice water available today from 8am to 8pm.

If you need a ride you can call public health at 934-0490 until 5pm.

After 5pm, call St. Peter Transit direct at 934-6070.
