MANKATO – He said he “just couldn’t hold it.”A Mankato man is in a wee bit of trouble after allegedly threatening an officer who spotted him urinating in public early Wednesday morning near downtown Mankato.
An officer approached 36-year-old Chad Zuehlke in the act just before 2:30 a.m. while he was leaning up against a tree near the intersection of Warren and 2nd Street.
A Mankato police commander says Zuehlke was intoxicated and spun around, putting his hands on the officer during a pat down search.
Zuehlke faces a charge under Mankato’s new disruptive intoxication ordinance for the urination.
He’s also accused of terroristic threats for telling the officer, in colorful language, that when he got out of detox he would hunt the officer down.
