MANKATO – Bail has been set at $400,000 for the Golden Valley man charged with murdering 19-year-ood Josselyn Bishop last Friday in Mankato. The attorney for 19-year-old Damone Christopher Williams-Tillman had argued in court for a lower bail of $150,000.
Barry Voss argued before Judge Norbert Smith that Williams-Tillman (known to friend simply as Chris Tillman) has “never been arrested and never on probation.”
Voss said the bail should be reasonable and assure his client to appear in court “even though there is much emotion and is a tragedy.”
Voss added that Williams-Tillman would be unable to post bail for any amount over $300,000.Prosecutor Pat McDermott asked Judge Smith for bail of $750,000 with conditions and $1.5 million dollars without conditions.
