MANKATO – The Vikings says the NFL’s work stoppage will have to be decided by July 18th in order for training camp to be held in Mankato. The Vikings are scheduled to report to Minnesota State University on July 31. If the lock-out pushes past July 18th, camp will be held at Winter Park.
This is the final year of MSU’s agreement to hold camp in Mankato.
The Vikings are one of only 15 teams who still go on the road for training camp.
About 60,000 fans come to Mankato for training camp with an estimated economic impact of $5 million dollars.
