TEC Radio Interview Play Role In Threats Case

MANKATO – Charges that a 26-year-old man defamed a Blue Earth County Sheriff deputy on Facebook have been dismissed.

But a judge says felony terroristic threats charges against 26-year-old Timothy Garth Hansen Jr. will remain because he admitted to the threats in an interview last June with Three Eagles Radio News.

Hansen received a citation for illegally riding his dirt bike. The Facebook postings included a threat to “settle the score” during their next meeting.
