NORTH MANKATO (TEC News) -- An 18-year-old boy is dead following a single-vehicle crash late Tuesday night in North Mankato.Matthew Buryska was a passenger in a vehicle driven by his father, 47-year-old Peter Buryska.
The State Patrol says they were traveling northbound on Lookout Drive around 10:30 p.m. when the vehicle left the roadway and hit a tree.
Peter Buryska and a second passenger, 14-year-old Sarah Buryska were both taken to Mayo Clinic Health System Hospital in Mankato with "non life threatening" injuries, according to a State Patrol accident report.
All three were wearing their seatbelts and the State Patrol says alcohol was not a factor.
MCHS spokesperson Kevin Burns says Peter Buryska was treated and released and was not able to give a condition update on Sarah Buryska because she is a minor.
Road conditions were "dry" as the time.
State Patrol spokesperson Jacalyn Sticha says they are not speculating on the cause of the crash at this time.
