Currently affecting an estimated 3 million Americans, glaucoma is one sight-threatening disease that should be routinely checked for at an eye exam. Damage from glaucoma cannot be reversed, but early detected can result in treatment to minimize the risks or the effects of the disease. During January, National Glaucoma Awareness Month, contact Minnesota's Senior LinkAge Line in partnership with Region Nine Development Commission for free information Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at www.MinnesotaHelp.info.
