Free Fitness Camps in Mankato



MANKATO (TEC News), August 6 – Obesity is a growing epidemic in today’s society including for children. About one-third of American adults are obese as well as 17 percent of children according to the CDC. Fitness groups, nutrition clubs and fitness gyms around the area are working to promote healthy lifestyles and offering fitness boot camps, free of charge.

Get Fit Mankato
This free 4-week program will give you a kick start to living healthy. This is open to the public but registration is required. From 6-8 p.m. on August 11th and 12th at Alexander Park, people can sign up. There will be three workouts per week [Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays] at any skill level and there will always be modifications for those who need them. Kato CrossFit Boot Camp
Starting today, people can register for the free CrossFit Boot Camp. This program will run 4-weeks long [Tuesdays and Thursdays] starting with an orientation tonight at 6:30 p.m. at the gym on Riverfront Drive. Next week, the group will head out to different parks in the area to boost a changed, healthy lifestyle. These sessions will be led by Coach, Ben Janike as well as many other industry leading, CrossFit certified trainers. For more information, call 720-8754.
