MANKATO - Feb. 16, 2013 - (TEC News) - ?Mankato Department of Public Safety firefighters responded to a call around 2 a.m. this morning. Crews approached a blaze in the first floor hallway of a home on North Broad Street. The flames were extinguished before it spread. Damages were estimated at $5,000. The cause was determined to be improper disposal of a staining cloth. Public Safety is alerting residents to be cautious when disposing flammable material.
