MANKATO (TEC News) – An agenda recommendation was discussed last night and approved by the city council about donating used fire equipment to the fire department in Managua, Nicaragua. A request letter was written from the Commander, Jorge Estrada Granizo. This was initially a part of the consent agenda but was removed for further discussion. A local resident has offered to deliver the equipment, so there will be no cost to the City of Mankato to donate it.
